Anyone needing a good coffee while they consider whether or not to buy that 1970 Corvette or that shiny new BMW motorbike – or just a place to sit, have some caffeine and soak up the high-octane aura – several car and bike dealers in Cape Town are offering just that.

One of the first, Crossley & Webb, in Gardens now has a competitor just down the road, The Archive. And within a few blocks of each other in the CBD are Dapper Coffee Company/Club 9, on Bree Street, Donford BMW Motorad, which is home to a very vibey branch of Tribe Coffee, and not far away on Buitengracht is Laude.

1. Dapper Coffee Co.

It is nextdoor to Club 9, where the latest arrival, a 1958 Jaguar XK150 coupe, is selling for R1.25 million. Corner Bree and Strand Streets.

2. Crossley & Webb.

Classic Cars and Coffee is a concept that’s been around since the 1990s, and is well known in the U.S., England and Australia. 15 Solan Road, Gardens.

Okay, it’s not classic cars, but it’s classic bikes. And the coffee and vibe are great. 112 Buitengracht.
