A panel from the underside of a Boeing 737 flown by Mango Airlines fell to the ground outside Cape Town, according to a report on the news site Scrolla.Africa.
Scrolla pictured someone carrying an orange panel from a plane, reportely in Kayamandi outside Stellenbosch, where it fell. A spokesman from the airline confirmed that the panel, “a side wing to body fairing,” detached from one of Mango’s aircraft but that it had not posed a safety risk to the flight.
He said that Mango was busy investigating the incident, which happened at the end of January.
