The first visitor to Kruger National Park today, on its first day open after two months closed for lockdown in South Africa, had been waiting since 4 a.m. (See video below.)
The national parks across the country, besides Namaqua National Park, Boulders and Cape Point, opened from today for self-drives. And look who was out to escort and welcome the visitors back!
In the north, Punda gate is quiet. Remember, only Pafuri gate is closed and the others are all open. Day visitors may enter at Punda gate.
“They are back!! Can I hide in this bush?” said the team at Kruger National Park. This was the first big 5 sightings from their team on the ground.
